1.3 Power Semiconductor Product Families and Applications
Power ICs, IGBTs, MOSFETs, and power diodes are the four most commonly used power semiconductor products. MOSFETs are primarily utilized in uninterruptible power supplies, switching power supplies, frequency converters, and audio equipment. Power diodes are mainly used in power supplies, adapters, automobiles, and consumer electronics. IGBTs are suitable for applications in rail transit, photovoltaic power generation, automotive electronics, and other fields.
